The International Year of Astronomy 2009 Cornerstone project, 100 Hours of Astronomy, is on track to be the largest single science public outreach event ever. More than 1500 events have been registered in over 130 countries, and more than a million people are expected to participate! What's on? 2009 ASTA Teachers' Resource Book |
|
In 2009, the Australian Science Teachers Association will publish its 25th resource book for National Science Week - "Astronomy: Science Without Limits". The resource book will inlcude activities, experiments and background information to help teachers engage young people in astronomy. ASTA will also make available school grants of up to $500 for National Science Week. Application forms will be available from your local STA National Science Week Representative, and from the ASTA website from February 2009. |
